Standar Nasional Terbaru untuk Sepatu Keselamatan di Indonesia
SNI 8877:2023 merupakan Standar Nasional Indonesia terbaru yang mengatur persyaratan mutu dan keselamatan alas kaki keselamatan (safety footwear). Standar ini disusun oleh Badan Standardisasi Nasional (BSN) sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan kualitas produk dalam negeri serta perlindungan bagi tenaga kerja di berbagai sektor industri berisiko tinggi.
SNI 8877:2023 mengadopsi dan menyelaraskan ketentuan teknis dari standar internasional ISO 20345 dan ISO 20344, yang mencakup aspek perlindungan kaki, ketahanan material, kenyamanan penggunaan, hingga ketahanan terhadap kondisi kerja ekstrem. Dengan diberlakukannya standar ini, industri sepatu keselamatan di Indonesia didorong untuk menghasilkan produk yang tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan pasar nasional, tetapi juga mampu bersaing secara global.
Penerapan SNI 8877:2023 menjadi langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan terhadap produk lokal, sekaligus memastikan bahwa keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) menjadi prioritas utama dalam setiap proses produksi dan penggunaan alas kaki keselamatan.
Sebagai bagian dari upaya memperluas pemahaman dan literasi mengenai standar nasional, telah diinisiasi SNI Corner di Perpustakaan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Bandung, sebagai wujud kolaborasi antara akademisi (ITB), pemerintah (BSN), dan dunia industri (ABU) dalam mendorong penguatan standardisasi, inovasi, serta daya saing nasional.
SNI Corner ini berfungsi sebagai ruang edukasi dan referensi yang menyediakan informasi seputar standar nasional Indonesia, termasuk SNI 8877:2023. Mahasiswa, akademisi, peneliti, serta masyarakat umum dapat mengakses berbagai materi standardisasi sebagai sumber pembelajaran, riset, dan pengembangan inovasi berbasis standar.
Kehadiran SNI Corner di lingkungan perguruan tinggi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya standardisasi sejak dini, mendorong lahirnya inovasi produk yang sesuai dengan standar nasional dan internasional, serta menjadi jembatan kolaborasi yang kuat antara akademisi, regulator, dan industri dalam pengembangan kualitas dan daya saing produk nasional.
Melalui SNI Corner ini, standardisasi tidak hanya dipahami sebagai regulasi, tetapi sebagai fondasi penting dalam pembangunan industri yang aman, berkualitas, dan berdaya saing tinggi.

10,000 Mangroves to Combat Climate Change!
Tangerang, September 4, 2024 – PT Alasmas Berkat Utama demonstrated its commitment to environmental preservation by organizing the planting of 10,000 mangrove trees in Mangrove Tunas Harapan, Patra Manggala Village, Kemiri, Tangerang Regency. The event, held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, is part of the company's efforts to support the restoration of coastal ecosystems and strengthen climate change mitigation efforts in Indonesia.
The tree-planting event was attended by representatives from the management of PT Alasmas Berkat Utama, local government officials, nearby residents, and various environmental organizations. PT Alasmas Berkat Utama hopes that this initiative will inspire other companies and the public to be more involved in environmental conservation.
“PT Alasmas Berkat Utama, believe that environmental preservation is a shared responsibility. Through the initiative of planting 10,000 mangrove trees, we aim to make a tangible contribution to maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems, which are vital to environmental sustainability. This initiative also reflects our support for the government’s efforts to restore damaged mangrove ecosystems,” said Usman Wang, Factory Manager of PT Alasmas Berkat Utama.
Mangroves play a crucial role in coastal ecosystems, including protecting shorelines from erosion, providing natural habitats for various species of flora and fauna, and absorbing carbon dioxide, thereby helping to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Thus, the mangrove planting effort not only benefits the local environment but also contributes to global climate mitigation efforts.
“We hope this will inspire more stakeholders to participate in environmental conservation, particularly coastal ecosystems. We also appreciate the support from all parties involved, including the local government and surrounding communities, who have contributed to the success of this event,” added Usman Wang.

Since Covid 19 pandemic, Alasmas hads been routinely distributing humanitarian aids packages channeled through some institutions or directly to the underserved community to help those affected go through the burden during the pandemic.
From 2-24 August, the company distributed 400 food packages to Churches, nursing homes, orphanages, rehabilitation centers, and underprivileged residents in its neighborhood.
Parties receive the packages were GBI Rembran, GBI HOH, Desa Telaga, Desa Telaga Sari, Orphanage (Yayasan Rumah Ceria Nusantara, and Yayasan Al Barokah), Nursing Home (Pondok lansia Berdikari), ODJG Rehabilitation Orphanage ODJG (Yayasan Terbit Kasih Bangsa), Rehabilitation Center (Yayasan Hikmah Syahadah), Residents of Tangerang Regency and underprivileged resident nearby the factory.

PT. Alasmas Berkat Utama has carried out CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities by providing 300 basic need packages to churches, nursing homes, orphanages, rehabilitation centers, and the underprivileged residents in the neighborhood.

Humanitarian Aid for Covid-19 from PT. Alasmas Berkat Utama to residents in its neighborhood
To help ease those affected by Covid 19, PT Alasmas distributed 250 food packages to the residents in its neighborhood.
The packages were given to residents in two villages ie Desa Telaga and Desa Telaga Sari, residents around the Cikupa company and pasar Kemis, and two orphanages ie Assomadiyyah Orphanage and Muh-Daliifah Orphanage.
