Tangerang, September 4, 2024 – PT Alasmas Berkat Utama demonstrated its commitment to environmental preservation by organizing the planting of 10,000 mangrove trees in Mangrove Tunas Harapan, Patra Manggala Village, Kemiri, Tangerang Regency. The event, held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, is part of the company's efforts to support the restoration of coastal ecosystems and strengthen climate change mitigation efforts in Indonesia.
The tree-planting event was attended by representatives from the management of PT Alasmas Berkat Utama, local government officials, nearby residents, and various environmental organizations. PT Alasmas Berkat Utama hopes that this initiative will inspire other companies and the public to be more involved in environmental conservation.
“PT Alasmas Berkat Utama, believe that environmental preservation is a shared responsibility. Through the initiative of planting 10,000 mangrove trees, we aim to make a tangible contribution to maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems, which are vital to environmental sustainability. This initiative also reflects our support for the government’s efforts to restore damaged mangrove ecosystems,” said Usman Wang, Factory Manager of PT Alasmas Berkat Utama.
Mangroves play a crucial role in coastal ecosystems, including protecting shorelines from erosion, providing natural habitats for various species of flora and fauna, and absorbing carbon dioxide, thereby helping to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Thus, the mangrove planting effort not only benefits the local environment but also contributes to global climate mitigation efforts.
“We hope this will inspire more stakeholders to participate in environmental conservation, particularly coastal ecosystems. We also appreciate the support from all parties involved, including the local government and surrounding communities, who have contributed to the success of this event,” added Usman Wang.

Since Covid 19 pandemic, Alasmas hads been routinely distributing humanitarian aids packages channeled through some institutions or directly to the underserved community to help those affected go through the burden during the pandemic.
From 2-24 August, the company distributed 400 food packages to Churches, nursing homes, orphanages, rehabilitation centers, and underprivileged residents in its neighborhood.
Parties receive the packages were GBI Rembran, GBI HOH, Desa Telaga, Desa Telaga Sari, Orphanage (Yayasan Rumah Ceria Nusantara, and Yayasan Al Barokah), Nursing Home (Pondok lansia Berdikari), ODJG Rehabilitation Orphanage ODJG (Yayasan Terbit Kasih Bangsa), Rehabilitation Center (Yayasan Hikmah Syahadah), Residents of Tangerang Regency and underprivileged resident nearby the factory.
PT. Alasmas Berkat Utama has carried out CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities by providing 300 basic need packages to churches, nursing homes, orphanages, rehabilitation centers, and the underprivileged residents in the neighborhood.

The activity was carried out for several days from 2 to 9 August 2021.
To help the government overcome the shortage of oxygen cylinders in the health facilities, Alasmas donated 10 oxygen cylinders through the Ministry of Industry.
To help medical workers in Tanggerang regency fight against Covid 19, Alasmas has donated oxygen cylinders, PVC shoes, Hazmat Shirt, Mask and Vinyl Gloves.
The donation was symbolically received by Plt. Head of the Tangerang Regency Administration.
Alasmas performed social service and handed over basic needs and personal hygiene packages to senior citizens at Melania werdha nursing home in Tangerang.
To help ease those affected by Covid 19, PT Alasmas distributed 250 food packages to the residents in its neighborhood.
The packages were given to residents in two villages ie Desa Telaga and Desa Telaga Sari, residents around the Cikupa company and pasar Kemis, and two orphanages ie Assomadiyyah Orphanage and Muh-Daliifah Orphanage.
